DJ Koessler is the founder of Koessler Strategies and a trusted advisor to political candidates, causes, companies, and cultural influencers.

For more than a decade, he’s worked at the intersection of Democratic politics, advocacy, and media. DJ led social and digital rapid response for Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign, served on Hillary Clinton’s political and digital teams in 2016, and got his start organizing young voters for Barack Obama in 2012.

He honed his skills at top agencies like Blue State, then went on to build and lead high-performing teams at Climate Power and Stand Up America. Over the course of his career, he’s advised Fortune 100 brands, helped win major campaigns, and written for globally recognized politicians, entertainers, and athletes.

DJ holds a B.S. from Grand Valley State University and an M.S. from Columbia University, where he now teaches in the strategic communication program. After more than a decade in New York, he proudly calls the city home.
